* Please note that there are no cars on the Island - therefore motorbike is the only way to explore Mfangano.
Fishing trip (Half or Full day)
Take the chance and try to get some good catches of Tilapia or Nile perch!

After pickup from your accommodation by one of our guides, you will be taken directly to Lake Victoria where you get on the boat to spend the day fishing for Tilapia and Nile perches during the day or sardines. locally known as (Omena) at night with a team of our experienced fishermen and guides.

Besides fishing, Mfangano Green Tours invites you to take a chance to enjoy the views on the surrounding islands including the famous birds island (Mbasa) to watch some of the over 250 bird species and lookout for Hippos who love to take a bath around Mfangano.

Panorama Hiking & Monkey sightings (Full day)
Explore Mfangano Island on foot as join us for a full day hiking trip around the island to enjoy the panorama landscape and get close to the local wildlife including the famous blue ball monkeys, a wide variety of birds and other animals.

After pickup from your accommodation in the morning by one of our guides you will be able to enjoy the following highlights including:​

Hike up to Soklo plateau and to the highest point at Kwitutu and enjoy the cool climate of the Kwitutu forest and the wide variety of wild fruits that comes with the natural forest.

Boat Tour & Swimming Experience
Join our team for a unique way of experiencing our water ways as you get an opportunity of relaxation, adventure and exploration using our locally constructed wooded bats
Program
After pickup from your accommodation by one of our guides you will directly hop on one of our boats where the captain is already waiting for you for an adventurous exploration of lake Victoria and active engagement with our team.
Our captain will take you around Mfangano island and/or sister islands allowing you to enjoy all highlights including:
